Graz

Austria's second city has a rich history dating from 1189 resulting in a beautiful old town. Because it is relatively untouched, Graz is a good place to soak up a more genuine Austrian ambience.

Local Transport

Grazer Stadtwerk (website www.gvb.at) operates a comprehensive transit network that is comprised of buses and trams. One way tickets, valid for one-hour, are €1.70 and allow free transfers between buses and trams within the one hour period. You can buy a carnet of 10 tickets for €13. Other passes include a 24-hour pass (€3.40) and a weekly pass that costs €8.20. These prices are for travel in the central zone.

Klagenfurt

This pleasant city has served as the capital of Carinthia since 1518. Klagenfurt's main attractions are centred around the old town with Europapark and the Wörther See attracting crowds during the summer months. Europapark, situated between the city centre and Wörther See, features a reptile zoo and Minimundus - a touristy world in miniature featuring scale models of international monuments.
