Heidelberg is located about midway between Stuttgart Airport and Frankfurt Airport. You can take a train from the Hauptbahnhof to either Frankfurt or Stuttgart and get a connecting train from there. Local TransportVVS (website www.vvs.de/en/index.php) operates Stuttgart's public transport system which is comprised of trams, buses and both an S-Bahn and U-Bahn urban rail system. The transit network is divided into zones. A single-zone ticket is €1.65, while a two-zone ticket is €2.15. A four-trip ticket is €6.30 for a single zone and €8.20 for two zones. The TagesTicket is a good deal if you plan on travelling around town a lot. This daily travel pass allows unlimited travel within one zone for €5, or throughout the whole network for €10.30.
