Fowey

This historic town at the mouth of the River Fowey was Daphne du Maurier's hometown. The town attracts fans of du Maurier's novels and it also makes a good base for visiting nearby attractions like the Eden Project and Restormel Castle.

Coming & going

First runs buses 24, 24B and 27 between Fowey and St Austell where you can make bus and train connections to Bristol, London, Plymouth and destinations throughout Cornwall.

Eden Project

The Eden Project is one of Cornwall's biggest attractions. This series of biomes has recreated the natural environment of various climatic regions including biomes with flora from the humid tropics and warm temperate regions.

Restormel Castle

This 14th century castle is surrounded by a moat and features a large circular keep with lovely views of the countryside. Edward, the Black Prince, once called this castle home. It is near Lostwithiel, 13km north of Fowey.
