Hathersage

This village at the northern part of the Peak District claims to be the home of Little John of Robin Hood fame. Its main advantage for many travellers is that it's the closest town with a hostel to Sheffield.

Coming & going

Hathersage is on a major road with several buses stopping here en route between Sheffield and the Peak District. It also lies on the Manchester-Sheffield train line with frequent trains in both directions. It is only 25 minutes by train into the centre of Sheffield, making Hathersage a convenient base for visiting Sheffield.
