Mérida
Mérida's major attraction is the wealth of Roman ruins dating from the time when it was the largest Roman city on the Iberian peninsula. A combined ticket will let you into a variety of Roman ruins scattered around the city including theatres, bridges and temples.
Other attractions include the Alcazba, the church of Saint Eulalia and museums featuring relics from the city's Visigoth and Roman past.
