This pretty city is located just over an hour north of Stockholm with frequent bus and train connections. However you often need to go down to Stockholm to make transport connections to destinations in southern Sweden. AIRBus 810 runs between Arlanda Airport and Uppsala every half hour. There are also half-hourly trains from Uppsala to Arlanda Airport. You will need to go into Stockholm to make connections to other airports. BUSLong distance buses stop outside the train station. TRAINTrains to many destinations in northern Sweden including Gävle, Östersund and Mora stop at Uppsala station. There are also very frequent train services to Stockholm.
