Segovia

This beautiful medieval walled city is a popular destination for day-trippers from Madrid, although there is so much to see that you should consider staying overnight.

One of the town's major sights is the Roman aqueduct dating from the 1st century AD. The Catedral is another must-see attraction. The main attraction, however is the Alcázar at the western end of the old town. It is reputed that Walt Disney copied the design when building the castle in Disneyland, California.
