Sheffield

Stainless steel was invented in Sheffield making it an industrial powerhouse that has produced much of the world's cutlery. The city went into a depression in the late 20th century although it is experiencing a renaissance and is now a lovely city with a vibrant centre and well worth a visit if you have the time.
