Telč

This small town in south-western Moravia has been classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Monument and it is well worth taking a trip here. Most of the town dates from the mid-sixteenth century when much of Telc was rebuilt after a devastating fire creating a picture-perfect town.

Coming & going

Telc is four hours by bus from Prague with buses departing from Florenc bus station.

Slow trains also stop at Telč. The station is located on Masarykova about a 10 minute walk from the old town.

The Renaissance castle dominates the main square of the old town.
