Dutch

The main language in the Netherlands and northern Belgium is Dutch which is very similar to Afrikaans. In the north of the Netherlands, however, Frisian is an official language too, though Dutch is prevalent.

You shouldn't have too many problems because most people in Belgium and the Netherlands, especially the young, speak excellent English.
