Florence (Firenze)

Local transport

ATAF operate the Florentine public transport network, which consists of buses and a tram line.

BUS

Florence has an extensive network of over 90 bus routes, which serve the city as well as outlying towns such as Bogno a Ripoli.

TRAM

The first line of Florence's tram network opened in February 2010, running from Stazione di Santa Maria Novella to Scandicci south west of the city. Trams run every four minutes.

Two more lines are planned, which will provide a more useful service for travellers with line two connecting Peretola Airport with tourist areas near the Duomo. All three lines will pass by Stazione di Santa Maria Novella.

FARES

A single ticket (valid for 90 minutes) costs €1.20. A 24-hour ticket costs €5 and a three-day ticket costs €12.
