Ljubljana has a thriving bar and café scene, with some particularly good pubs in and around the old town.

Eating out in Ljubljana isn't cheap and most backpackers either prepare their own food or dine of pizza at the numerous pizza places around town or at the huge Dairy Queen burger joint in the city centre.

The most central supermarket is the Maximarket on Trg Repubike.
