Munich's Franz Josef Strauss Airport (MUC) is 28km northeast of the city centre. It is Germany's second-busiest airport, after Frankfurt, and a major hub for Lufthansa. It is also a hub for German low-cost airlines Air Berlin and TUIfly.
The S-Bahn is the easiest way to get to the airport from central Munich (€9.20).
Europabus and Eurolines coaches operate from a carpark, ten minutes walk from Hauptbahnof.
Munich is well served by a rail service including regular international trains to Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Italy. Hauptbahnhof is the central station.
