Mozart's birthplace is a beautiful city with a wealth of cultural events which make the city a popular destination for travellers of all ages and budgets. The city was first made famous by Mozart and then by the film that everyone loves to hate - The Sound of Music - which was first screened in 1965. The film continues to attract backpackers who come to see the location where it was filmed.
