Bus & coach travel in Slovenia

Slovenia has a good bus network comprising dozens of independent bus companies. The bus offers frequent departures to destinations throughout the country and is often the only way to get to many popular destinations including Lake Bohinj and Bled - the two train stations in Bled are both a 5.5km walk from town.

International buses operate to destinations in Austria, Bosnia, Croatia, Germany, Hungary and Italy.

All buses depart from a central bus station (avtobusna postaja). If you're trying to decipher the signs at the station, a blagajna is a ticket window, odhodi means departure and prihodi means arrivals.
