The InterRail Global pass gives you unlimited rail travel in 30 participating European countries plus travel on Attica ferries between Italy and Greece.
The Interrail pass is not valid on some private railways and the Metropolitan services between Hamburg-Essen and Dusseldorf-Cologne. However many private railways offer discounts to Interrail pass holders; these include 50% fare reductions on many Swiss private railways, Catalan railways, the Nice-Digne railway and the Hjorring and Skagensbanen in Denmark.
The InterRail Global pass is available in four different validities. There are two flexi passes allowing five travel days in a 10-day period and 10 travel days in a 22-day period as well as consecutive day passes valid for 22 days and one month.
The InterRail Global Pass is not valid in the home country of the pass holder.
Travellers aged 26 and younger are eligible for the cheaper InterRail youth pass (second-class only), while travellers older than 26 can buy either the adult first class or adult second class pass.
