The InterRail pass gives you unlimited rail travel on 31 national railways throughout Europe. It is valid in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom. It is also valid on Attica ferries between Italy and Greece. Morocco is no longer participating in the Interrail scheme.
The InterRail pass is available only to people who have lived in Europe for at least six months immediately prior to the first day of travel. Non-European residents who are not eligible for the Interrail pass will need to travel with a Eurail pass instead.
There are two types of InterRail pass: the Interrail One Country pass, which is valid for travel in a specific country and the Interrail Global pass, which is valid for travel across the entire Interrail network.
